Pinkalicous Pinktastic Party
We’re lucky enough to have two great children’s theaters here in Portland. It’s one of our favorite options to celebrate a birthday with friends because:
It’s very easy to plan when the main entertainment is taken care of!
It’s a unique experience for our friends.
We love having the opportunity to support our local children’s theaters.
When we saw Pinklaclious would be performed around my daughter’s birthday, we knew it was the perfect outing and a fun theme to work around. Since we didn’t have to think up and games or entertainment, the planning was simple. We just needed an invitation, food, and a goody bag.
We couldn’t find and already made Pinkalicious invitation that wasn’t so – you know – PINK so we decided to design our own. It’s available for sale in my Etsy shop if you’d like to use it for your own celebration.
The theater hosting this performance didn’t allow for us to rent a space to use for juice and cupcakes after the party, but it’s nearby a large park so I brought a large tablecloth (purchased at Home Goods for the birthday girl’s first birthday!) to use as a picnic blanket and hoped for the best. Lucky for us it turned out to be a beautiful day and there were tables available right outside the theater. While the kids waited in line to meet the cast, I popped outside to quickly set up a table.
Our local bakery nailed the cupcakes – they looked just like the cupcakes in the book!
If you’ve been here before you know I’m anti-goody bag unless it’s useful. These Pinkalicious book collections were available at Costco so we grabbed one for each guest and me and the birthday girl worked together to make Pinkalicous wands.
Everyone had fun and enjoyed the experience - it was Pinkalicious!
