Hand-Embroidered Sweaters and Sweatshirts

For those of you who didn’t know, I had a knee replacement back in the spring and my recovery has not gone as expected. As a result, I found myself with a lot of time icing or sitting to stretch and I quickly tired of checking out new tv shows. I pulled out my old embroidery bin and started working through some cross-stitch patterns before turning my attention to wearable art. I made a few pieces for gifts and just kept going! In the time I worked on them, I got to really play around with different fonts and stitching styles to learn what worked best for my designs. Here are some of the sweaters and sweatshirts I made.

I started with the Hamilton lyrics sweatshirt for my daughter’s birthday then moved on to the iconic RBG quote before moving into the sports world. Most of the designs were made on sweatshirts because they are so affordable and the unisex sizing is great for gifts, but I loved how high-end the Bears sweater turned out.

I loved making these so much that I added them to my Etsy shop. As each style takes so long to create, they are a higher price point than my other items, but they are such a wonderful personalized gift! If you have a saying you’d like stitched, please reach out to me for a custom order!
